In the specified device, place the treated sample horizontally, place a paper piece with a central circular hole on the surface, use the prescribed preane ignition source to ignite and burn the surface of the circular core felt on the paper piece, and burn the paper piece through the edge of the circular hole. coke, carbonization or discoloration to determine whether the blanket has ignited.

Put sample fabrics and control specimen into chamber, stop the test until the color of control specimen changes to the fading color as standard fading required. And compare with grey scale for color assessment. If without color changes after one test cycle, continue to test specified testing times or the testing cycle which will be able to change color. 

Mount sample into the fixture and hang on vertically inside test chamber. Burn the underneath of sample with specified height of flame for a certain of time, record the time of afterflame and smoldering, damaged length, so as to assess its flammability property.

The finished product sample or material sample is installed on the corresponding fixture of this instrument, and the sample is placed vertically with the required height of flame combustion for a certain period of time, and relevant data (such as combustion time and combustion rate) is recorded to evaluate its combustion performance.
