Overview
To determine the resistance to tear(Elmendorf method) for textiles, non-woven fabrics, sheet metal, paper, paperboard, thin film, plastic cloth, electrician tape, etc. Three interchangeable pendulums ranging from 16,000 to 64,000 Millinewtons (mN) can be selected separately for multiple test method compliance.

Operation
Connecting the air supply
Connect the air supply to the instrument.
Add distilled water
Connect tube from the freestanding funnel to the water connector located at the back right-hand corner of the SST unit. Add distilled water.
Put in filte
Unscrew the screws and remove the top plate,Take away the reflector.
Put in filter.
Install the xenon lamp
Install the xenon lamp and connect the lamp cabler.Replace the top cover and tighten the set screws.
Mount the sample
Mount the sample on the sample clamp.
BPT Sampling
Place the sample into the test chamber and close the door.Be careful to avoid covering the BPT sensor.
